Every year New York hosts world renowned fashion shows to celebrate the latest fashion and styles. Among these shows, many Chinese designers have started to appear more frequent. International flare, Asian exposure and a mixture of traditional culture style have created a buzz among the fashion industry eager to see more from the East. With the cooperation from next year’s lift of textile trade quota, New York will host and celebrate the first art fashion show and model contest. The designer’s goals are to integrate the traditional style of the East with the trendy and modern American flare. This show will introduce new up and coming designers and expose consumers to brilliant manufacturers in China.         Over the years, New York has hosted various beauty pageants. However, this show is a combination of both fashion exhibition and model competition. The winner of this competition will get the opportunity to travel to Shanghai to compete in a special model competition, where strong international exposure may easily lead to a top modeling contract. New York has been the center of fashion through seasonal changes and traditional integration. Yet it is the combination of Western and Eastern styles which have created a notable presence in our modern world.  PRIZES/AWARDS: Awards will be given for the following categories:    Champion: Shu Lin    First Runner-Up: Jocelyn Cheng    Second Runner-Up: Ming Zhao    Best Photographed: Xiaomeng Zhang    Best Character: Ming Zhao    Best Body: Jocelyn Cheng    Best on the Catwalk: Shu Lin Overall the top two winners, decided from the judges, will be awarded a trip to Shanghai to compete in another fashion competition will the high potential for a future contract.
