New Year 2006 Reception: January 5th 6:00PM - 8:00PM

Location: Asian Fusion Gallery, 15 East 40th Street, 2nd floor

The Asian Fusion Gallery is proud to present a group winter exhibition, "Revelation: The Colors and Emotions of Asian Women Artists." Nearly a dozen women artists will display various mediums of work in hopes to tie their heritage together with the unspoken language of art from December 14th, 2005 - January 7th, 2006.

How does one's culture and past effect their tangible and visual representations? Women artists from India, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Iran have succeeded this conquest with images exposing their various traditions, adaptations and fusions. Their visions of life, obstacles faced, and femininity are eloquently revealed in each individual piece. The harmony and balance evolves throughout the show creating a serene yet powerful atmosphere.

Please join us for our opening reception on Thursday December the 15th. Asian Fusion Gallery is honored to have two co-hosts for our winter exhibition. Asian Women in Business (AWIB*) and The Yangtze Repertory Theatre** Asian will be in attendance.

*A not-for-profit membership organization founded in 1995 to assist Asian women to realize their entrepreneurial potential. AWIB fills a vital need for women who need information, education and networking opportunities to start or expand their businesses.

**Yangtze Repertory Theatre of America was founded in 1992 to produce works for and by Asian artists. Since then, it has become New York's most significant entry point for dramatic works from Chinese-speaking countries and a place of collaboration for artists from various parts of Asia.
